Here's the teddy bear. Hopefully I'll be able to make one that's as cute as Forever Friends teddy soon. Full story at the TeaRoom blog.

Having a baby
I've had plans to make these since I've learnt about MC's pregnancy. She would have to order her baby full moon gift away from me right? Haha... So happened LGM got me a lead, an inquiry for baby full moon cupcakes. I've done something for baby shower before but I wanted to introduce something special. So since I finally had time today, I made a few of these.
The mittens need to be perfected, they are not round enough so you might not be able to figure out what they are. The bibs, they need to be in brighter colour since icing is yellowish. And bigger bibs allow more details to be included.
I was actually very tired last week. Went to dinner with PiC last night and I was almost falling asleep when we said farewell. We had a great gossip session but dinner was so so because the blur PiC got her request of restaurant wrong. Haha...
My immediate boss is leaving, his last day is next Tuesday. Sigh... work will never be the same anymore without him.
Happy Mother's Day!
Happy Mother's Day!
I was actually booked for a wedding cupcake this week - BIL's younger sister's wedding in Macao. Yes! The cupcakes just flew 4 hours on the plane and they are now in Macao, waiting to be presented at dinner tomorrow night. Oh, I'm so proud of them. :) I hope they don't do so bad. Will post those picture when MC comes back with the pictures. I hope she comes back with the pictures.
So there were only 5 boxes of wedding cupcakes, I thought since wedding is Sunday, I wanted to bake the cupcake as late as I can, which I did on Thursday. Decorate Friday night, fly off Saturday early morning. I foresee help needed, so booked my little TeaRoom helper. Thanks to her, I saved a total of 6 hours. I actually paid her for the 6 hours of good job, let me start her with her first salary. :)
Later the week, more orders came in, I rejected 1 order due to time constraint and that order was a bit complicated. Then Rose wanted to order pudding and chocolate cake for her party. I had to turn down the chocolate cake order, sorry dear, really didn't have time, but I tried my very best to deliver the pudding at least. I hope she was able to get a nice chocolate cake from, Secret Recipe maybe.
Finally, SSB's order was placed. Never turn down her order. She was my first cupcake customer. That was back in Maxis gym days, she took a box of medium cupcakes then.
Here's her box of cupcake for her Mother's Day celebration. To view other pictures, go to my TeaRoom blog.
Besides paying my little helper (my cousin sister whom I've also booked for helping out at TeaRoom proper when it's open) I also offered her to bring home a small box of cupcake for her mum. I let her write her own wording on the heart. Not bad, I actually quite like her writing.
Here's her box of cupcake and a picture she took. Not bad eh.

You pain, I pain?!
I was actually quite lazy to blog, especially not much time for story telling lately, and especially not at THIS hour of the day. But this is really so classic that I must find time telling you...
Due to her recent knee injury, It was Carebear & Co. last night again (teaching together for the 3rd time according to & Co.) at TC pump session. It was actually a bit worried and "geli" watching Carebear doing all those workout and imagining how painful it must have been. BUT not till the extend that it caused pain to my heart, yet. Haha... However, besides being so very supportive and caring, & Co. actually announced to the class saying that his heart would be in pain when her knee was in pain. That, got instant cheering (or was it booing, or simply screams of horror/ joy) from the floor. Awww... so sweet. As a side note to Carebear, we (members down the stage) also wanted to ask you "you okay?" many many times, just that we didn't have the mic like someone else did, therefore you couldn't hear us. We all do really really really care about you too. Heh...
So, & Co. took care of all the "big" tracks while Carebear handled all the "small" (but still torturing) tracks last night. Great class, very entertaining especially because there were conversations going on on the stage throughout the class, and it was a great workout for me. I didn't load up my weights for lower body tracks since I did an RPM class before that, and I've not much strength because I have not joined a pump class for almost 2 weeks. That was also the reason (besides being so very lazy) of me cutting down triceps and biceps weights. 3.5kg and 2.5kg respectively only. I know I know... too light, but hey, I still got the muscle ache indicating a good workout. I should try to get good range and correct moves rather than carrying show-off heavy weights right, right?
Starbucks ran out of chicken finger sandwich last night, so went to O'Briens to get an egg sandwich instead. That was where I also got feedback on the walnuts from & Co. who was dining with YKH there. Thanks for the feedback! The "order-er" can specify who the cupcakes are for the next time for customization purposes. :) Anyways, the "order-er" also feedback to say that the walnuts were not very delicious. Need to look into quality and also another way to present the walnuts.
I am getting lazier lately to go to gym, excuse is I need to go home early to bake. Anyways, since baking is only required later this week, I will try to attend another RPM class tonight. As KG put it, I suddenly appear to be an RPM freak. No no... I'm far from being a freak. Just feel that the RPM class time allows me to go home slightly earlier. Also, I don't feel like joining a class which requires me to move too much. :p

Do you feel the same too?
I always wonder if one's feelings is influenced by one's surroundings - including people and happenings.
There is also this thing called "biological clock" which seems to be THE explanation for the change of one's perceptions or preference in different stages of life. Also this thing called "hormone change" which also seems to be THE reason why one will feel that different way during certain age.
So, the above will explain why all kids think about is play; teenagers, studies (be it naturally, or forced to haha...); twenties, career; thirties, lifestyle... whoopss... okay, marriage and kids. That comes into picture at various stages for different people. I guess.
I used to think that being single is all I wanted till the end of my life. Okay. Rephrase. I would like to get married IF there is this man worth getting married to, but I always feel that I will be contented being single all my life.
Not that I'm not happy now. But when the biological clock ticks and hormone starts to change I do feel like I want something else in life. Still, a partner IF there's a right one, but like today, I felt like I want to have a baby.
It was like this... I went shopping with MC for her maternity clothes. Not that she's that big, but she can do with some I feel because she does need more room for certain part of the body, but also over-sized clothes look baggy and made her look fat. When she emerged from the changing room with her first outfit, BIL and I was like, ah huh... you look like "one" now. :)
While waiting for her, I was looking at some really cool and pretty maternity dress. It makes you feel like wearing one haha... trust me. It's very encouraging looking at those trendy maternity wear, spaghetti trap, smart shirt, cool pants etc etc... And those baby apparels! Sooo cute.
I can't wait for my little niece/ nephew to be born, and most of all to grow up a little. I told MC I will do "baby on loan" arrangement with her later. I lately feel that it's so cool to bring along a baby to say parties, tea, shopping, gathering etc etc...
You see what I mean by the effect of biological clock and hormone? Haha...
Perhaps one is influenced by the people around you. If all your friends are single, perhaps you tend to stay single. But when you are surrounded with mums and babies, you might just want to be part of them. :)
Don't you feel so too?
