My last pump class

Hobbes was spotted with lighter weights for squat and back tracks because he'd hurt his back. Get well soon dear. Though, I'm not really sure if the reason was because you got off the wrong side of the bed, you ought to be careful not to over-exert when working out kay...

Doing at least two pump classes in a week is definitely better in terms of maintaining strength. I found myself managed better yesterday, having done a pump class earlier the week on Monday. The class is nothing new. I suppose we were all glad that from next week onwards we'll not need to be doing the new release, especially the shoulder track!

Time passes really fast. It's year end again... That was my last pump class of the year at LM yesterday. I've been doing this pump class for a year now due to change of gym schedule for new routine after change of job. There are certain changes which I am glad but there are also a lot of changes which I rather had not happened. Most of all, I hope I'll still have all my best friends close around me in the coming year.

Didn't do the split today...

Went to Axis because I know Farid was going to be there. Good also to have Stan in combat. (See? told you if Master C was not teaching, the class monitor aka Farid would have told us)

Well, though the combat master didn't teach the Christmas eve's class, doesn't mean he won't teach today right? He didn't teach that day because... Arr... ok, I don't know, I kind of missed that part when the replacement teacher aka Carebear announced the reason. And didn't they update the Internet timetable? I also don't know, I didn't check, I've got a personal class monitor to inform me. :):) (TQ for the privilege!!!)

By the way, talking about replacement teacher, was too busy till I didn't blog about Carebear's combat on Christmas eve, also got carried away by some "events". Anyways, it was so refreshing attending Carebear's combat, even Farid agreed that the replacement teacher was great and the class was charged with energy. I was really tired on Christmas eve due to over-baking, but still went through the class with full motivation!

Also, as I said, Carebear's class was refreshing because some of the moves were slightly different actually. Not to mention the moves, especially the kicks, looking different and I think I could mimic Carebear more on the moves, perhaps maybe our "sizes" are almost the same. :p

Today's combat at Axis was as usual great. I was having bad sinus these days therefore was not very agreeable with the air-conditioned room (luckily enough today actually since the room was not as cold as some days) plus, I couldn't really concentrate in the class and throat was not suited for shouting today, humphhh... missing the best part of combat. Most of all, got really frustrated that I fell into the "trap" of the combat master's left-right-spot-test, double humphhh...

(A note to newbies: DO NOT join these type of classes, it's dangerous when you mix up left and right cuz you will step on/ bump into the person beside you. But if you like the challenge, then yeah, it will be fun)

Talking about newbies, was the teacher talking to me or was there someone new behind me just now? Teacher was trying to correct/ give me tips on my moves ya? It's hard to figure out who instructors are talking to in crowded classes most of the time; not to mention me missing a beat and completely missed what teacher said.

There was this track where I wonder during Carebear's combat the other day whether or not it should end with push up and not high knee. Today, I wonder the same. I'm forever blur when it comes to track and track numbers. Anyways, the cool down track reminded me how in awe I was when Carebear did the split!!! No split today?

Okay, story too long already, better not bore you ya.

Were the chocolate cakes ok?

Christmas Presents... The Episode where I Receive

I believe...

Want to see what I got this Christmas?

A bottle of those very sweet white wine from James and Rachel (MC's ex-boss and wife), not available in Malaysia. See the rating "9", the ultimate sweetness. No... I've not opened it yet. New year eve perhaps.

A first aid box??? Yeah... see what's inside...

Assorted chocolates - my favorite would be the chocolate coated coffee bean. Which I've shared by delivering them like so...

A book during Christmas day gethering from one of the gymfreaks.

Some really pretty brooches all the way from US. Love them.

Also from UK (want to share this Carebear???)...

And my very final surprise of the night, a present from MC. Arranged specially to have them flew over from UK. Gals, this is really good, but too bad they are not on sale in Malaysia at present.

My favorite Christmas present so far... A bear hug with big big kisses from SB specially delivered to TC on eve of Christmas night after gym before I left the place.

I believe... I'm one of the luckiest person in the world... May you be as blessed, if not more, as me.

Christmas Presents... Episode III on Sharing Joy

Went to an orphanage on Christmas day... The joy of sharing was definitely felt in all our hearts. We were all happy souls after the visit.

These were what I brought and the children were definitely fans of sugar icing, some of them only ate the sugar icing. Hurmphh... But it was fun and sweet hee... worth staying up till 1.30am to get these ready.

This was last design when I was about to fall asleep, all creativity gone to bed.
My aunty made these money packets for us to put in the money for the kids, and TLA wrapped all these presents.

Trust me, sharing is one great way to be joyous.

I better be good...

There I was, on leave but waking up at 8.00am on Christmas eve having slept only 6 hours. Why? Because I had to travel to PJ early, to beat the jam so that I can be home earlier to finish off with my baking - all the EXTRA hassle because I had to pay a saman!

One day, a week ago, I rushed out during lunch time to get some supplies at Section 23, PJ. I didn't get the parking coupon because I only plan to drop off for 10 minutes, and it was about to rain, and I didn't want to tear my tight skirt by crossing so many times the drain between the shop and where I parked my car... OKAY, big excuse. In short, instead of paying 60 cents for an hour of parking, I got a saman of 100 bucks! What? you think parking without coupon is only 10 bucks? That was like 3 years ago I think.

Frustrating? Extremely, but lesson learnt and a bit of my karma paid I'm sure. So I tried to be as willingly as possible when I head towards the Majlis to clear my saman. And, guess what? I got a "discount"!!! Thank you Guardian Angel. I left after paying only RM30.

Even so, I better be good and not do that again...

Earlier in the morning of Christmas eve, I fell in my wet kitchen, which was literally wet at that time. I fell right on my bum without the support of my hands because I was holding a mug of black coffee and I wanted to "save" my favorite Starbucks giant mug! So I was nursing a very painful bum which I can even feel during squat in BP later (which had to also mean I was really squeezing my butt muscle ya haha).

More karma paid on the eve of Christmas. Crazy, but I was glad I fell without serious injuries and luckily my coffee was not steaming hot.

Having vowed to be good and having paid some of my karmas, I was feeling very cheery and lucky throughout Christmas eve. Left the Majlis in within half hour (lucky I got a reduction on the saman and the queue was not long); Coming back on the anti-direction, opposite of an extremely bad traffic (lucky I left the house early and beat the jam); Managed to package all my Christmas presents on time which allowed me to arrived at the gym on time (lucky I used Penchala link, which was not congested at all); Best of all, met my favorite people that night and had a great time though I had to suffer the traffic leaving TC.

Christmas Presents... Episode II on Giving

The rich chocolate cake has always been SB's favorite. In fact, SB was the one I started baking this chocolate cake for. From the time when I'd passed the cake to him in tupperware and irregular sizes, till the "TeaRoom" version, all wrapped, lined and in proper cake boxes.

A very chocolaty Christmas for SB. Merry Christmas honey.

FINALLY, was the "ultimate" Christmas gift for Carebear, consisting:

  1. 4 pieces of fruit cake, matured and moist. Baked 3 weeks before Christmas.
  2. 4 tubs of sticky chocolate cheese, specially reserved. Baked 4 days before Christmas

  3. 2 bags, 5 pieces of raisins scones, freshly baked the day before Christmas eve.

  4. 6 pieces of colourfully decorated rich chocolate cake baked 3 days before Christmas.

  5. Mini jams, 3 from St Dalfour specially bought for my Christmas pack. 2 tubs flew back from London with sis 3 months ago.

All packed in a gift box, with ribbons, and a teddy bear, no picture of the teddy here. Borrowed one from Carebear, with her beloved Ah Girl. They look so cute together!

Christmas Presents... The Episode on Giving

December 20... Was at LM for FI's class. Heard that he's going to be away for Christmas holiday, so his present has to be given earlier. Class was great, FI was using much heavier weights in pump, haha... I've not been doing FI's pump for so long, his, always my favorite.

Received my little Christmas gift in advance from my guardian angel. Certain people will just make my heart skip a beat, all the time.

"Merry Christmas!" from me to FI, present consist my little favorite jams, scones to go with and chocolate fruit cake.

"Yay!" from FI.

December 22 AM... Same Christmas pack to Hobbes at LM with loads of hugs. Reminded him of last year, yeah... felt nostalgia. Or perhaps I should change the packaging haha...

"I can't stop hugging you, you smell so good". Yeah... that's because I just got out from the house, still smelling of Body Shop Moonflower.

I can't stop hugging too you dear, Merry Christmas. (Because you were clean and dry since you have not done any class yet :P)

December 22 PM... at TC to send the gift to little bro, yeah, I purposely went to send the gift, with loads of kisses but no hugs. (Because you were too "wet" from BA bro). We still owe each other a big big hug.

To be continue...

Sooo... tired

Have been baking since Thursday. Soooo tired. Took a break on Saturday night to watch National Treasure, great movie!

Feeling really exhausted now. Need to wake up early tomorrow to run some errands and there will be some more icing piping for more cupcakes; plus some Christmas presents "packaging". Then, I'm suppose to go to gym at TC...

Nite nite... one more day to Christmas...

Cupcakes for a Wedding lunch invitation

Was really thrilled to be invited to Santhi and Bernsy's wedding lunch. Thought of bringing a gift and hoping than a "DIY" present would be some how more special.

Asked the bride what was the theme and the reply was just wear anything I like... hmmm... finally I was told "pink canopy, red table cloths, red chairs; and bride wearing purple". Hence the purple flowers.

It's when two hearts join...

Congratulations SC and Bernsy, may you live happiliy ever after...

Oh... glam moment of the cupcakes...

Sticky Chocolate Blueberry Cheese Cupcake

This was an order from BIL's boss for Christmas. 2 dozens of these with another 2 dozens of the vanilla cupcakes. Due to the amount of order and Christmas requests, I'd baked this on Thursday though the pick up is only Monday. Besides, cheesecakes are good when "matured".

Sticky chocolate base

Top with cream cheese

Filled with blueberries

My Daemon

(updated on Dec 20 12.10am - because the original post was done in a hurry.)

I've heard on the radio about this test which you can find the Daemon that matches you. I just read SSB's blog and found that she already have hers and thought I must also find out about mine. So here it is...

Watch Golden Compass two weeks ago and I'd wish I too have a Daemon. I thought it was cool, a lifetime buddy and potentially something to show off. Hee... Anyways, I found the movie very familiar, not only until the scene when Lyra was hidden in the cupboard and Lord Asriel showing the "dust" that I remember that I'd read the book - Nothern Lights. Actually, I didn't finish the book because it was really boring, never could I have imagine the movie being this great! I stopped reading when Lyra left with Mrs Coulter. I really like the movie, at one point was so into going back to read the book till BIL and MC told me the book IS really boring. Oh well, I'll just wait for the sequel then. There were many thrilling scenes and very loveable characters, I really love the ice bear!

Oh, for those who's not watch the movie Golden Compass, here's the website and here to get some backgroud of the story.

Check out my Daemon, I think it's cool!

Diva of BJ and Master of BS

Came back to my desk yesterday morning and Tony's MSN message was popping asking me what cake should he be getting for Farid. Hmmm? What's going on? I guess it has to be for a birthday celebration. We went through all kinds of cheesecake choices from Secret Recipe, but decided on Tiramisu from Heavenly (wow delicious, till this point, I just had to invite myself to the party haha), then we had ended up with a chocolate mousse cheesecake which JE bought. It was delicious, and love the shape of the cake!

So I cancelled my plans to MML and LM for BJ at Axis with our BJ Diva. I had already pleaded for teacher not to laugh at me, prior to the class since I know I will definitely look clumsy.

Doing class with the bunch of BJ advance level gymfreaks were a plus point to start with as I could refer them for the moves; Doing class with Tony was great as he always gives clear demonstration and tips on the moves, never before tried to confuse or pressure members with "spot test"- a definite good choice for beginners (and also rusted jammers like me) I'd say. Plus, there will always be additional little movements and gestures which never fail to add flavours and fun to the class.

Me... of course did badly in the class, but with good guidance from Diva teacher, at least I could stick to the correct left and right leg coordination. I gave up most of the hand movements so I could stay focus on not stepping with the wrong leg, to the wrong side, or stepping on someone else. As it was, I already felt that I was constantly "magnet-ing" to the people around me. Beside my "magnetic problem", I felt that I'd tied many knots on my legs with all those twisting. Having said that, I actually love the salsa track (was that a salsa track? me bad with tracks and their details as usual), but don't like the "robot" track. Geezzz...

Tony was in his usual elements last night. Though I found him being particularly jolly whether or not due to the Christmas song played before the start of the class, or that he was really "in love" with Dominic for that hour last night. Or perhaps it was because of his "evil" plan forming at the back of his head. Hehe...

Diva teacher told us during the beginning of the class that he would be changing the cool down track. When we reached that moment, our little Diva announced that we were singing a birthday song to Farid, and so the highlight of the night where our birthday gal performed the birthday ritual - candle and birthday song - on stage. Could see her really surprised expression but nonetheless presented herself with total poise when got invited on stage.

Finale was one of our, or rather Farid's, all time favorite, don't ask me what track please... and followed by the feast.

Great planning, I heard the main organizers were Diha, Elaine and JE, with our Grand Master of Birthday Surprise to execute the plan in the class... and so, Tony the Diva of BJ (Body Jam) and Master of BS (Birthday Surprise - not Body Step k)

A Special Garden for A Special Birthday Gal

I hope my "landscaping" skill is acceptable... Made some walnut chocolate chips cupcakes, covered with colourful butter icing. Transform them into a garden by adding piped icing flowers, added leaves (I love this nozzle) and my new found favorite - the "stones". Oh, managed to get the butterflies to give some "life" to the garden. Happy Birthday Farid!

See the "stones"? The ones in red, grey, green... They are actually chocolate. I think Diha was quite intrigued by them last night thinking they really look like real stones.
