Heartache

Is heartache an emotional or physical pain?

Heartache is such an indescribable emotional feeling; so intangible yet giving such a real physical pain.

Heartache is when we regret, insulted, angry, disappointed... It's when we loose something very precious; when the story didn't end the way we'd hope.

Have you ever love someone so much that your heart aches?

Fortunately, heartache is not a fatal disease, and the possibility of us getting a upper-hand in handling heartache is quite high.

Time is one of the best remedy towards heartache. At first, you might find that every single thing in your life sends pangs of pain to the heart - those memories, that familiar scent, the usual hang out place, that particular song, the sweater you wear... You might wake up feeling empty, lost and devastated; wouldn't want to even be conscious to go through the day...

But, in time, you will discover that all those familiar little details once distressing and unbearable are now just priceless collections of your memory, no longer tugging the string of your heart. You will wake up feeling strong and recovered; all ready to charge through the day.

Relaxation helps calm disorganized emotions and rumpled feelings. Struggling might drown you; Drift with the flow and you will float through the deepest water.

Can little sweet indulgence help patching up the heart a bit?

I finally finished the body jam class

(Why has it been saying "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" when I tried to log on to Facebook??? I'm so lagging behind with my Scrabulous!)

I've been going to LM for the pass four Tuesday to join FI's body jam. Since I still want to be home early, I'd joint FI's 8.45pm jam class after some free weights, but only been doing half the class - until last week.

There I was last week in the class, standing near the entrance (exit) all planned to leave at 9.15pm, normally after the recovery track. As I didn't "rush" out after that, I got to hear the intro of the music for the next cha cha heels track, and I thought, oh well, might as well complete another track to make up to my cardio workout. I did went straight to grab my water bottle and towel to leave after that track, I was one foot out the studio when I heard FI said "lets do Hey Ya!" - great! One of my old time favorite - and so I made a "U-turn" back into the studio. Nevertheless, I really did leave straight after that didn't even want to find out what's the cool down track (just in case...).

By the way, if you've been reading my passed few posts and felt that I've been upset and pissed-off, I'm okay, thanks for the concerns. I was just feeling a bit sentimental, and certain observations and stories around me had triggered my chain of thoughts.

(Oh yay! Facebook up and running again!)

As I said, I'm feeling okay, and I've been extremely cheery for the pass few days since my boss (both the bosses) were not in the office! I left the office at just a little passed 6.00pm on Monday and managed to arrive at LM at about 7.00pm. Joint MasterChef and BIL for their workout at LM since they've gotten themselves each a 2-week free pass. Since traffic was not really an issue, I'd left the office early again yesterday planning to join body pump with MasterChef.

But... instead of the 2-word name of the instructor, there was another name replacing that slot. After some investigation, I decided not to join the class. It's not just about me being fussy, but I really do remember that this particular instructor, (that time he joint body pump as a member) throwing his tantrum (I don't know about what, perhaps someone took his space) by dumping some plates just behind me. How rude right?

I asked FI on his way out from his body step class why didn't he replace body pump and he said he really wanted to but couldn't get replacement for body jam (haiya... do 3 classes lah...) humphhh...

Well, as the blog titled had suggested, I stayed till end of the class yesterday, the tracks were half familiar to me. The Lets Get Loud track was a bit challenging for me though as I was doing it for the fist time. Couldn't get my step-cha-cha right, keep stepping with my wrong leg! Grrr... when I finally got one set right, the track had ended. The other tracks were ok, some I did during the last few weeks, others were the older releases. Finale was FI's all time favorite, muah muah to everyone to end the night.

I always do feel very cheery after FI's class, he's one of my great Dosage Provider as well (minus the butterfly in the stomach and silly grin though). Heh...

Cupcakes for Baby Shower

Was planning for a lazy weekend with loads of Facebooking... while I was on that, my best gal friend called, late Saturday evening, about dinner time, to ask if I would like to take a cupcake order. Well, I said, yes but I only bake during weekend and please tell me latest Friday so I can get whatever ingredients and packaging material I need for the order. She then told me she needed 2oo pieces and it's for Monday. Wow, the quantity was great, very glad that I could get some pocket money for the month, but 200 pieces? Didn't sound like realistic - only after which she said it's the minis she wanted.

Well, that sounded more possible. 200 pieces Large cupcakes order on late Saturday evening, not possible. Because the cupcakes can only be baked in the middle rack of the oven, and I cannot bake a few racks in one go, this is TeaRoom Home, and not TeaRoom Commercial, yet. So, to bake large cupcakes, each batch takes only 12 numbers, 25 minutes baking time. 200 pieces requires 333.33 minutes of baking time. So, not enough time. But the mini ones are ok, since each batch bakes 3 dozens.

By the time I finished with the baking, it was 1.30am. Cupcakes left to cool overnight for the icing the next day.

Individually hand decorated cupcakes in making.

The theme was baby blue and pink for the party (just found out that it's more like for full moon) hence the requested icing colours. Decoration request was jelly beans (which I don't really like but MasterChef gladly "food tasted" a few) and marshmallows. I went out to this kiosk at Jaya Jusco Cheras Selatan to get the decorations - great shop with all kinds of candies, very suitable for cake deco. Got multi-coloured jelly beans, and two types of marshmallows.

Helpful? Only if help is needed...

Heard a radio interview last two nights about a lady starting some awareness campaigns about children fatal sickness and charitable activities. She pointed out something which is extremely valid and a great reminder - We will only be helpful, if we are rendering the kind of "help" required by the needy.

She gave an example of a dying child at his final stage of cancer: We are not really being helpful if we give him loads of toys or money; perhaps what he really needs are care and company during his most frightful and final part of the journey?

This reminded me of the recent Tsunami when millions of caring folks had instantly donated -besides money - food, clothes and many other stuff. I heard that the charity organizations had had too many clothes and toys donations till they had to turn down (some people were like spring cleaning out stuff that they didn't need, geezz). My mum who had heard all about that had waited for TV announcement about the kind of items the victims really required and at the end, we sent some milk powder, milo, canned food and blankets etc as advised.

My grandpa is another good example - he made us feel so unhelpful every time we tried to help - we always like to help him walk or go up the steps by trying to support him, we even brilliantly suggested getting him a walking stick. What we often got in return was grandpa telling us he can walk by himself, and we could almost see the flash of insult on his face, sometimes.

How often do we try to help people around us with the most sincere and well planned attempts? But, do we always know or try to find out whether the help we offered was adequate, appropriate or even pertinent to the person? Leave alone whether the "help" given had caused any inconvenience, discomfort or even insults. Like the Chinese saying “越帮,越忙”.

Sometimes it's not about how we feel towards helping, the more important point is how the person we intend to help will feel upon receiving our "help". Our parents had forever tried to "help" us; they help us grow up, help us with planning our lives and help us to choose... I am truly grateful towards the sacrifices my mum had made, but honestly, I don't always feel great towards the "help" she offered me sometimes.

So, do me a favour the next time when I tried to render you my unhelpful help - tell me off please!

Combat inspired by PiC

I was so inspired with the shouting in combat class today; and all those funny noises we make in class, because my gym Partner in Crime was at TC today. Too bad I really can't stay for pump, otherwise, PiC is also a very good companion for all those painful groaning in pump classes.

Combat without mic was somehow tricky during certain times. Especially with those unfamiliar tracks for me. PiC, after not joining Master C's combat for so long, was in big confusion at parts where spot tests were given (the mix up of left right tests) and was grumbling about certain other things, must remember to check with her tomorrow what irritated her.

Realized that the sexy track is always paired up with so what track. I love the so what track so so much because it is a really good stress relief track, the pin down enemy and punch part is my favorite!

All in all I enjoyed the class a lot today, especially enjoyed the almost synchronized shouting with PiC, although I did missed the second tempo by half a beat, but still managed to shout that with PiC's cueing.

I was really tempted to stay back for pump seeing PiC and Fiz arranging their boards and weights, oh well, next week I must resume my pump classes, including this late night Monday pump, got to get my strength back!

Passed Carebear her "presents" before she commenced her class. I hope the extra pack was being delivered ok. And to the question of why some people didn't get cookies while other people like Carebear did - one of the reasons to that is, as I quote, because you haven't got the Queenly Privilege. Ok ok, I added the Queenly bit, but that's really one of the main reasons besides other common reasons like, you are on diet.

English Scones for breakfast?

Raisins Scones

Have been a bit sentimental lately and the blog is full of blabbers. Though very lazy to bake, but I thought it might be a good way to indulge myself, to focus on some other things then everyday nonsense.

But, I was truly quite lazy. So. while MasterChef baked some bread, I baked some scones, which was more stress-free. Besides, I had delayed this for some time now.

Plain Scones

A present for my angel friend

Death by Body Pump

The consequences of not joining pump for 4 weeks is just dreadful.

Since BIL and sis could go pick up some pet stuff for me, I'd had more time to spend at the gym yesterday. Decided to join Hobbes' body pump at LM, I was quite sure he was teaching since he's on his term holiday now.

To make it up to missing so many days of gym earlier the week, I went early for some cardio before class. Went on the stepper for 25 minutes during which Hobbes had passed to say he didn't know what I was talking about in terms of "board" (I meant Scrabulous lah, isn't that what you call? the place we place our tiles on?) and said he's gonna die... Does that mean no torturing members?

I love the class, I love all the tracks, although I can't remember the titles of the tracks, except for one - push up!

I was already feeling the strain on my shoulder when I did the uplifting during warm up and had to give up one shoulder press - OMG, I can't even manage warm up??? I was only using my usual 5kg. Guess I had to go back to beginner's weight...

Plunked on 8.5kg for my squat and my butt was already burning half way through the track. Only loaded 5kg for my chest track and I could only survive my singles by doing top half; had to break my bottom halves and could only manage my push up on option - on knees with butt sticking up option. REALLY bad... humphhh

The rest of the class was a nightmare for me. I gave up using my usual 5kg and downgraded to 3.5kg for my triceps. Shoulder track was one of my favorite by I couldn't enjoy the pain because it was really beyond pain and strength.

Believe it or not, the class was so tough for me till I didn't even manage to shout much. MB would not be able to hear my moaning or groaning if she were in the class.

Now, I really should look into my gym schedule again. Hobbes said I sounded like a fanatic when I said one of the reasons (not the main reason) I was hoping to change job is in order for me to better schedule my workout.

Perhaps I have to give up sleep to stay on for the Monday pump again; and Thursday pump at, erm... where?

The Face Shop

Believe it or not, this blog is inspired by Bernsy who had commented this when he read my FB status today - "what do they sell at faceshop? facebook ah?"

Creative right? Or you seriously didn't know what Face Shop sells? SC didn't know either?

OK, I know we are all at least 53% addicted to FB (what? you are not even 14%?) but no The Face Shop does not sell Facebook.

The Face Shop is my new found indulgence, a heaven of all sort of cool stuff including skin care, cosmetics, body lotions and scrubs. It has products for both women and men. Farid and Diha will like the country of origin, if not this shop - Korea.

I ran out of face moisturizer (my day cream) and my sis the blemish gel. Wanted to get the Comfrey and Sage Blemish gel from Body Shop (no, they don't sell body in there) but not only have they discontinued this range, the price has increased so much!

So we strayed from Body Shop to Face Shop next door (by the way, we were shopping at Jaya Jusco Cheras Selatan).

There's also where I've gotten my moisturizer, one with brightening, hydrating and anti-ageing functions. 120ml for RM89.90 as compared to my original plan of L'oreal's Revitalift, I think is around RM60 something like that, for 30ml. I would say the price is very reasonable at Face Shop.

The packaging are all very tastefully designed and mostly very oriental - a very refreshing feel; the skin care smells fantastic and the range, OMG, I can spend the whole day in there. I've also got a blackhead removal gel for RM49.90, as compared to the one I've just finished, the Cellnique blackhead removal (it's very effective btw) which costs around (if I've not mistaken) RM130 or RM160 ish smaller size. Finally, I got a liquid blusher since I've also finished using my blusher from Body Shop (and I cannot afford it anymore!) - half of Body Shop's price.

So, I was really happy with my purchase and it works fine on my face so far.

My sister got herself some face masks. We tried their tissue masks the other day, we got those which cost between RM5 - RM9 per piece (and Neutrogena's hydration mask at Watson's is around RM35 for 5 pieces) and we were really happy with the results. So we went back to get more. This time my sis got another set of clay type mask and we'd tried them on the other night, there was instant result, face cleaner and brighter. I can't remember how much it was, but definitely reasonably priced.

We've already planned for our next purchase upon our next month's salary.

Gals (and guys also) check it out!

ps. I've not even had time to browse through the cosmetic range yet, and they've got firming cream too.

Expectation vs Disappointment

modified on 16 Nov 10.00am (because I was too sleepy last night to write up certain things - SORRY if you've read this already last nite)

Can I count how many things I expect everyday? and was I happy with the outcome most of the time, or disappointed? Actually I can't even remember because I cannot be bothered?

While we grow older, we grow to expect more, from our life, from our family, from our friends. At the same time, we also grow OUT of expectation with more stuff, more people.

How often do we creat our little "ideal ending" for the episodes we go through daily and expect the stories to end like fairy tales do? Can we always achieve what we've planned for ourselves? Even if we can control how we deal with matters in hand, can we control other people's doing? Their reactions? Their feelings?

The one very small matter that I've gone through, and is still going through now and then, is the Law of expectation and disappointment towards text messages (This might sound familiar to you but I'm seriously talking about ME, not insinuating anything or about anyone). I send text messages out naturally expecting for a reply. I cannot be bothered whether my mum reply to tell me she'd got my message; I'm ok if my sister reply my text with only a "k"; I will call up my cousin if she doesn't reply my message (haha... can't I have just called her in the first place?); But I must become disappointed when certain people do not reply my text... only certain people. And, there will be time I ask myself, what do I expect this person to do anyways? Right?

Would it be more soothing to my heart if I just set a lower expectation, or no expectation at all towards people around me? At the same time receive lower expectations from others towards me (or just don't expect anything from me)? Perhaps no one can ever meet the expectations we set for them because we ourselves might not even be able to meet those expectations ourselves.

The world is full of differences. The higher your expectation, the more your disappointment.

Do I really care?

Do I really care if someone hates me?

Since I've missed gym last night I'd told myself I better not miss it again today. Though I've to say, it was worth missing gym for...

My bosses was puzzled when I told them that I'm going to gym at LM, they didn't even know where LM is and they still think I live in Kajang. Do I really care what they think?

The traffic was bad today, peak hour aside, it was raining and I'd at least passed 3 cars broken down contributing further to the congestion. Do I really care since body jam is not till 8.45pm?

Arrived at LM about 8.00pm, humphh... took me an hour plus to get there and I was feeling tired and lazy when I've parked my car. Didn't feel like joining any class anymore, but still, I've changed out the pair of running shoes in my gym bag to my bodyjam/step shoes. Just in case.

Warmed up and did some free weights. The gym was really packed, the machines were 90% occupied, luckily there were some space for dumbbell workout. One good thing about LM's free weights area is the heavier dumbbells and weights are upstairs, naturally the big guys will all be upstairs, the lighter weights, which obviously are those I use, will be downstairs, together with the pilates ball and mats. So, just nice to continue with some abs and stretching.

By the time I saw FI, my laziness disappeared, and I thought, might as well join the class though I know I will be bored since there was no gym buddy today. Hey, but I was ok, though I could not stop yawning while waiting for the class to start.

FI did old tracks, actually he planned to do new and old tracks, but I left half time, so did the old tracks. I've not joint BJ for ages, so I was prepared to be a blur sotong. Surprisingly, I was ok, didn't step on anyone, didn't trip, and got all my left and right steps correct.

While I was planning to just keep to smaller movements so that my mistake (if any, haha) would not be noticeable, FI suddenly gave us a briefing of the next track which consist box step and a kick, step back, skip skip skip... OH NO! I thought, it's The Big Spender!!! My most phobia track, I didn't remember me doing ok with that box step ending with a kick, step one leg back and pose. Followed by some jump jump jump and jumpsss....

Geezzz... after practising a few times with our right leg kicking professionally for this Broadway drama, FI were leading with left leg kicking... FI and his trademark, blur like sotong also, and wrong moves which of course got loads of cheers from us members. Though confusing, but very entertaining and loads of laughter. At the end of the track, FI said we didn't know what we were doing, he didn't know either what we were doing. Finally, he didn't even know what HE was doing too. So, he announced at the end of the big spender that he will be doing this again until WE MEMBERS are familiar with the moves. Look who's talking, but I'm sure FI will be twisting and drama-ing with perfect moves next week. Now I so don't want to miss next week's class!

I left class early, it was getting late and I really needed to be home early. It's FI, he doesn't really care if I left class half way or interrupt class, or make a fool of myself in his class. I don't really care too...

Are you being silly? Or am I?

If you like someone who might not like you back, are you being silly?

You are not being silly, you might find out one day, you are just taking a very "thorny" path; a tiring journey; an almost mission impossible - You are just being very ambitious because you would never know if you never try. At the end of the day, defeat or conquest, you will still stand proud for your battle scars and wounds instead of regretting for retreating to that save little protective shelter.

If I am overly sensitive towards other people's reactions, am I being silly?

I am not being silly, I have just found out today, I am just taking the safer journey; an easier way out; almost not wanting anything to commence - I am just being too observant for my own good because I have been very careless before. At the end of the day, whether I guessed right or wrong, it's still better to prevent than being sorry for wounding anyone, leaving scars in friendships.

Sometimes... Sometimes you will find that your friend is actually a god sent angel in disguised. Thank you.

Thank you for enlightening me tonight, it's worth missing gym for. (OK, not the missing gym part, I really have to work hard tomorrow to battle off fats)

Stressed out with nail clipping

Do you know that the blood vessels of a Guinea pig's toes extend right up to its nails? Which means if you clip its nails, the chances of you bleeding your piggy is very high. Therefore, I'm always stressed out whenever I do nail clipping for my little pig. Especially THIS little pig, soooo pampered, she will scream even though I didn't reach her blood vessels (in fact I've never EVER clipped so badly), she will start to give this little shivering and go all pitiful. Goshhh! Such a drama little piggy!

Because of that, I'd not make nail clipping for her as frequent as my previous Guinea pig, and as a result of me being soft hearted, her toes are a bit deformed because she need to make way for the overgrown nails. Sigh...

Just now she was walking with one of her front leg lifted, limping around - I normally let her out of her cage so I can change her bedding, every morning and evening. She will then roam around the room and will jump back into her cage herself, such an easy to take care, independent little pig. So, as I said, she was limping around and my heart skipped a beat when I saw that, after examining her, I suspect that she didn't want to step that front leg down because one of her nails was hurting her paw. True enough, after some VERY stressful nail clipping, she paddled around cheerily again.

Stress, stress...

Great day

SO SORRY I was late to the open house. Yes, had an "emergency" - the birthday cake had to be on a 11 inch cake board but I only have 10.5 inch box! Haven't been doing "stock check" for so long, and was really busy with work till I didn't decorate the cake till this morning. Luckily I checked the cake board and box last night and knew that I need to go get a box today. Not a cake box since the bakery supply shops will not be open today, but to get a box somehow. Originally planned to get the box at LM, but the road was SO congested that I had to turn back half way to get to Jaya Jusco at Cheras Selatan. While I was there, tried to get some new inspiration for the cake deco - I thought I didn't have anymore Hippo (yes, the Kinder ones).

Finally, remembered that I still have a full box of Celebration minis, so bought a packet of blueberry marshmallows and took some of my sis' pink Rocky Sticks to form the deco. A colourful and fun theme.

I really tried to assemble the cake and gotten ready as fast as I can, didn't even have time to take a picture of my cake (realize that the "feel" of this picture is not my usual? It's taken by BIL) Just before I left, my handphone rang! Oh No! I knew it... Stan was on the other line, asking me where I was. Oppsss... so sorry, I was still at home. I was also put through to Farid who'd told me to hurry with a worried tone - the food might be finished soon. Well, that's alright, since what I was more concerned was if everyone was leaving already.

Managed to reached Farid's in 20 minutes - thank god for good traffic! Made a "grand entrance" and true enough most people was already done with the food and a few of them, including the birthday gal, was leaving for Tony's! Please forgive me for being late again, and really really thankful that I made it just in time for all three birthday babies - LadyN, Eli and Hugo - to pose with the cake - with loads of cameras flashing, just like the glamorous Grammy award - and at least to have a piece before they left. Well, Nina actually, Eli and Hugo were there till later.
When I finally settled down to eat with MC and BIL, Master C arrived to join the dining table. By the way, as mentioned by Farid, perhaps I should change Master C to ZK as his blog name.
Shen and my FB Scrabulous friend arrived with their 3 kids when I moved onto dessert and I'd only managed to pass Shen her the belated birthday present then. November baby as well.
The food was great, had a good time gathered around gymfreaks again, but hey, I don't have enough pictures, can someone please quickly post the ones we took later?

Very very bad plan

Yesterday's plan was really bad... I should have gone to TC for stepper and leisurely got ready for my dinner there at 8.30pm. Instead, I went to MML, no, actually RUSH to MML for combat, and drove all the way back to TC for my dinner.

We were told by the replacement instructor that Master C was not feeling well. But it was quite thoughtful of him to come over to MML nevertheless to check things out, perhaps to make sure everything was in order?

Stan could have gone to the fun filled Bjam with Tony at Axis...

One of those days when I regret selecting my choice of plans. It was a blessing for my soul (and stomach) that my day ended with a great dinner.

Mic Protection

Perhaps the mic is one of the most important equipment for gym instructors, I heard it will even govern the mood of the instructor.

Sounds scary? It's true. You could pretty much make that out if you were there at TC today to witness the extent Master C went to "protect" the mic - pure initiative or he got a message from someone ah?

The protection was pretty original I had to say. I suppose one of the main reason why a mic went haywire because they were drown by instructors' sweat. (yucks... I will drown too) So, I suppose to prevent that is to prevent sweat from being in contact with the mic - wrap it with plastic bag!? Quite a good idea eh?

From far, the wrapped up mic, in fitness first very own white plastic bag (the one you get in your locker) looked like a white bunny rabbit sticking onto the back of Master C. Though he started off covering the white bunny mic with his top, the little bunny still popped up once a while. In comparison, I could only see the tip of the bunny rabbit in Carebear's mic pouch when I walked passed on my way out. Girls are always more delicate, aren't we?

That would have to be one of the highlights of the class besides the purple sexy little shorts. Sadly, no sexy long smooth legs underneath. Ya, this guy in purple shorts had to be the other highlight of tonight's class, even the combat master had to shout "I LIKE YOUR SHORTS!!!" and strongly recommend that ALL GUYS wear purple shorts next week.

So, who's going to take over the mic protection and purple short party next week since he's not teaching?

Black Coffee vs Cafe Latte

Used to love latte over black coffee because I like the richer and creamier texture of the latte; sweet and indulging; giving the satisfying feeling of exploring the multi layer of aroma and taste.

Didn't like black coffee because it's too bitter, almost sourish at times; too thin of a texture and well, didn't like the colour as well. Carebear told me once how she'd enjoy her scone over a cup of black coffee and I couldn't agree with her taste.

Lately... I've learnt to like black coffee a lot. I still didn't like black coffee made of instant Nescafe but I like the traditional Kopi O. Actually, my office tea lady started me off with this new habit. She was making Kopi O for everyone, and out of the sole reason of didn't want to create any inconvenience for her making me separate type of coffee, I accepted it, with doubts that I would even finish the cup.

But surprisingly after that, I've had black coffee as my favorite choice at home, in office and when I visit the kopitiams - I will still opt for rich Frappuchino or Ice Blended with loads of whipped cream when I hang out at Starbucks and Coffee Bean though.

Funny how opinions and preferences change over time and over small incidents. Now, I like the bitterness of black coffee, contrast with the usual sweet and rich flavours of the other stuff I eat; I like the simple one layer texture, "feels" healthier without the fattening creamer. Now without any other ingredients overpowering the coffee, the aftertaste is coffee alone - which was the original idea of drinking coffee, wasn't it?

Perhaps simplicity should be what we look for in life, straight forward and focus.

Perhaps bitterness is something to be savoured and indulged in, instead of defying or self loathing towards.

it's not all the same

Ya hor... we didn't actually do the "samurai" track which we did on Tuesday... some more I thought all tracks were the same last night. Bad memory, must be due to lack of sleep.

Thursday Combat at Axis

Yes, I already have a blog titled Thursday Combat @ Axis, but I'm lazy to think of another blog title. And again, I decided against sleeping early. I'm in sort of a storytelling mood, besides, I need to be on Facebook (I've got 8 games pending my moves). So, came on line but compromised with not turning on my MSN Messenger.

OK, I still don't like Track 5, and guess what?! We did the "wedding" track today, just after I'd chat about it with LadyN hours before the class! I wish I can import that particular vigorous head shaking emo onto here. That's exactly what I wanted to do when I heard The Wedding March just now. In comparison, I do prefer the girlfriend track. Or the one we did on Monday at TC (don't ask me about song titles, please...)

Actually, I was late to combat today. I still remember at about 5pm ish, I replied to Stan's MSN message saying "so far so good" to his question of whether I was going to be at Axis. Even Steve asked me that and said he might be going. He didn't actually. Then at 6.20pm, when I was giving my boss an update on some matters in hand, as my parting note to him for the day, he asked me to send out some documents. Of course I didn't want to ask him if it was ok for me to only send tomorrow. So there I was at almost 6.45pm, still waiting for the snail like server to send out my 4MB file. Texted Stan requesting for a reservation of space in the class in case I was late and I read his message that told me that Farid and Diha was already there when my car reached the traffic light for U-turn to Axis.

I was not THAT late you know, when I arrived, everyone had just only entered the studio. When I finally got changed and got to the entrance of the studio, they were still doing the warm up track, but I didn't enter straight away because everyone was doing their kickings and I noticed that my planned route was somehow blocked by this particular guy. Besides, it's perhaps not so courteous to just barge in and annoy people who were concentrating hard with their jabbing. HOWEVER, one girl just went in and shuffled herself to the front part of the class. By the time I'd managed to enter without being a nuisance to others, the class had moved on to the left set of lower body warm up. And, there was no space near Stan, assuming that girl who had just charged into the class before me taking my "space reservation". Humphhh...

Anyways, Stan managed to get me some space later, so at least I didn't feel so "left out" and shouting made easy by standing near the gang. And was that a remark from someone saying that I was late?

During my course of rushing to the class, I'd forgotten my bandanna! A disaster? Definitely. Stan couldn't really recognize for starter, someone commented that I was more drenched after the class, plus I had this curtain of hair in front of my eyes towards the end of the class giving me less than perfect vision. Not to mention without the defence against sweat dripping onto my face. Quite exaggerating, but true.

Farid was spotted being really tired, came for the workout even though fasting, wah... tough. I was sort of glad that I didn't have the impulse to grumble for at least 2 of the tracks, one of which my all time favorite, and the other Shen's. All the tracks were the same as Tuesday, except for Track 5. Hmmm... am I right? Well, I feel that it's quite acceptable for instructors to use the same tracks for the whole week, but not more than that. After all, not every one's gonna do combat everyday of the week right? So to most members, the tracks were not repeating.

Blame it to my partial warming up, I got quite a serious cramp on my left foot during cool down (when I was trying hard to balance on one leg) and had to limp out the studio.

I sometimes feel that we members are just a fussy bunch of people, we like to grumble about just anything that happen during and around the class, it's part of the entertainment (members entertaining instructor) and it's how we show concern and interest towards the class and the instructor. Although we didn't die doing 4 more push-ups because the instructor didn't lay his mat properly and was not ready, we still like to make some noise.
