Chocolate Cupcakes with Dark Chocolate Icing

Chocolate cupcake with Dark Chocolate Icing,
Topped with sugar coated walnut

Thanks for the support dear.

It was a comfort knowing that I've "achieved" something today. :p :)

It's a strange feeling

I hate it when I fall sick.

Of course everyone hates suffering from sickness. I've often felt sick or unwell, but I mean it's not often I fall sick until I can convince myself to take sick leave. I was having fever last night and I didn't really know. Okay, I was feeling a bit sick, didn't have appetite and was a bit tired, but I didn't know I was having a temperature of 100 degree until doctor told me.

I was feeling okay this morning, but since doctor gave me the MC, and I was tired of work, I decided to call in for a day off.

I think it's the medication. It gave me this uncomfortable floating feel. Felt a bit empty, like having no goal at all in life. Didn't feel like I was up to any challenge and definitely will break down and cry if I were to face any failure right then. I vaguely remember the tonnes of work I had in the office and wished very hard that I never needed to go back to that office.

I also felt very "home sick" even though I'm at home. It's very hard to explain that feeling. I also missed someone so so much and I didn't have the strength to tell my heart to stop that. I wish MFG can miraculously appear and give me a big warm hug.

Sigh... I better not fall sick again.

I slept so much last night and today, I can foresee having insomnia tonight. Yup, I've stop taking the medicine since fever has gone. The medicine has gotten into my head. No good. :(

Glad I missed Monday, but now my Tuesday might be blue.

This is a new post

The post title is to facilitate those who'd been clicking in but have been seeing the strawberries for more than a week, but didn't realize I've posted a new story. Though I'm sure you would have notice looking at bananas instead of strawberries.

Last week had been the busiest week of my baking life. I've got 4 orders totalling up to, let me see... 36 plus 36 plus 4 x 36 plus 4 x 8 plus 3 x 36 plus 2 x 16... 380 pieces of cupcakes. That was such a perfect week, just like what I've wished for and I wish everyweek can be half as good as that. I didn't care if I had only less than 5 hours of sleep everyday. Oh, one thing I missed most was of course my gym workout.

This week, I didn't have any order except for LP's. Thanks dear, if not for you I would have had no business this week. So since I had a bit of time, and since the last time I piped a banana figure and everyone thought it was a summer worm, I had decided to spend some time improving my fruit making skills. Of course a better result can be achieved with using fondant instead of butter icing. I mean, I'm quite confident that you are able to guess what these fruits/ vegetable are.

And for the first time after 3 weeks, I went to my Monday pump class last night. There was no & Co. on stage but there was a little boy (as I quote). The little boy was very good I thought, at least the cues were clear and I like the way he speaks, trust me, some instructors actually irritate me by just speaking, leave alone other aspect of conducting the class. I know, fussy member. I also got to confirm that & Co. and BO's Man Behind The Pillar is in fact the same person. Haha... As Carebear has stated, everyone knows who MBTP is. Yeah lor...

MC is still having her morning sickness, she eats like 10 meals a day but only eats quarter of her meal. I think BIL is getting rounder haha... I'm planning to go for Jogoya dinner thinking there's a free meal voucher. But unfortunately, that's for lunch. Just checked with Blog Ed about Tenji, but she said no more promotion and not worth paying that price. I thought buffet is more fun but perhaps I should reconsider the venue. Any suggestions? I personally am hoping to do Japanese, but like Blog Ed reminded me, perhaps I should check with the person I'm treating instead of choosing what I like. Haha...
Okay, let me go get some sleep.

An Extreme Strawberry Cheesecake

Another birthday celebration in the office. I love this cake, I knew it's going to be very delicious when I was making it. Too bad, there was not enough cake, so I only took a few bites from 4 different people. If you like strawberries and cheese, this cake is simply heaven. It consist 3 boxes of strawberries. Yummy...
I always enjoy bringing indulgences and surprises to the office, to the people I love working with. But lately, there has been people I don't like in the office and the thought of them (now only one person left lah) sharing this piece of passionately made cake upsets me most of the time.
Oh well, I'd say she won't last long. Mwah hahaha...

Chilled cheesecake which appears to be pink because of the mashed strawberries inside the cake mix. This was my first attempt. I find the cake a bit too soft, more gelatin is definitely required. It has a smooth and creamy texture, every bite is full of strawberries. Very indulging :)

What about?

I find this blog lacking interesting stories lately.

I've created another blog for TeaRoom so that customers do not need to be reading my nonsense stories since all they want is to decide what to order from the baker. Besides, I'm supposed to be anonymous, so to speak, in this blog whereas my "real name" is given in the other blog.

Anyways, there is not much "secret" in here which makes being anonymous so critical now a days. I mean, MFG's stories will no longer be told, there's no more stories about MFG; my opinion towards my colleagues and boss is also an open secret; I might still occasionally talk bad about members or instructors at gym, but hey, who cares?

Nevertheless, no real name in here.

So what will I write about in here? My life is all about work and baking lately. I am trying my best to go to gym but usually will only do my own cardio and free weights, so don't have interesting stories. I guess it's still gonna be baking stories, but I'll try to make it slightly different in here compared with the official TeaRoom blog.

I've got 3 orders next week, one of the customers is very inspiring, he requested for 4 boxes of cupcakes and each box represents one of the four seasons. You will be seeing the four seasons cupcakes after middle of next week. Meanwhile, there are quite a lot of orders for birthdays. I wish cupcakes can be in trend for some time which can be one of the main source of income for TeaRoom. One of the ways I try to maintain the popularity of the cupcakes is to have new toppers and designs. I'm attending a class next week on 3D cartoon decoration. I'm sure there will be a lot of exciting designs for the customers to choose from after that.

Can't wait for TeaRoom to open...
