TTB

I was doing some dusting :p, and came across my birthday card from Carebear. So I thought I could use this for my profile picture.
Cute right? Haha...

There is no right time

I've been asked during dinner "so when?". And I said "err... don't know". Then my ex boss asked "Actually you have any boy friend or not?"

Ahh... that. Hmm...

It has always been complicated for me... Just to give him an example, MFG's story was told. Yeah, actually the whole world knows about my feelings towards MFG so I shall not deprived that story from one of my favorite ex bosses. Story was told amidst these randomly asked questions:

EB asked: would you rather be with someone you love more, or with someone who loves you more?

TTB asked: is it true that guys are not attracted with girls who are too easy?

EB asked: do you know what type of girl he likes?

TTB asked: can guys be so career minded that they will just put marriage aside?

EB asked: have you been out alone with him?

TTB asked: is there no such thing as right time?

Just to tell a few.

I used to be very flattered when I receive compliments like "you are a beautiful lady", just like EB had told me just now. Well, obviously "beautiful" doesn't do anything but just perhaps get me a few compliments sometimes. Anyways, I'm not suggesting that I'm so beautiful, don't get me wrong. As I said, I used to be so flattered. Not that I'm not pleased to get such remarks now a days, but I thank the person for the compliment with a tinge of doubt. Sounded like consolation sometimes. Haha...

EB said there is no such thing as a "right time". How can anyone tell what or when is the right time? What are the factors to consider to decide if it's the right time? In short, and in conclusion, EB feels that a certain degree of patience is needed for my case. I told him there is no case, the case is closed. Not giving up, is not a choice. It's just too bad that something that feels so right, is not right. What is wrong with me? I don't know. Perhaps it's the meeting certain standard issue.

Anyways, the Japanese dinner was great, but it was a bit too pricey to me, RM230 plus for 2 persons? Wow, waaaay to luxury already, that's my one month lunch money you know. I'm so grateful to have people like ex boss around otherwise I don't think I would have the chance to be indulged in such luxury. That's Kogetsu for you. At Saujana. Perhaps it's paying for the location. Nevertheless, it was good company and many interesting stories shared.

Ps. Thanks LP for the biscuit! And good to see you outside gym :)

If only I can follow my plans all the time

You know, when I was like 16 or so, I said to myself all the time that I will get married when I'm 28. Because I thought then that I can just say "I do", just like that. Little do I know, it's much more complicated than that. Much much more. And of course I've passed my 28th birthday. Way passed.

I've been planning for (or was I just wishing) TeaRoom, but it's actually tough. Okay, sometimes I think it's workable, but at times tough. And of course doing business is tough. Yes yes... I will get the business plan written. To start with right?

Well, at least I've achieved what I've planned for the other day for gym. Three classes on Monday with MC. And now MC understand how I feel towards The Phantom of The Opera after attending Carebear's pump class with me. Yes, our chest muscles are really painful, still.

Okay, I originally planned to write more, but got distracted by three MSN chats (you know who you are haha...). So, another fall-out of my plans. See? It happens all the time.

Now... I need to call it a night, need some sleep to get me going for another 2 days.

My last thoughts

Thought of switching off my computer and go to sleep already - need energy for tomorrow's 3 back-to-back classes.

Just read Wookie's post and learnt that the father is not well. My prayers and hope everything is okay with you. There will always be miracle, just need to believe in one, k?

There are changes of plans for TeaRoom. I'll try to update again later, without revealing too much trade secret, haha...

I really really do need extra skills to produce some more professional cakes. I need to attend another class but good class doesn't come cheap. So I'm raising funds in order to pay for the fees. Those of you who know me, would you order cakes from my pleeeease?

Have a good sleep...

Two Tier Cake

Here are the cakes! The top layer is a sponge cake sandwiched with longan custard. Coated with agar-agar milk pudding (which MC said should taste better with fresh milk instead of full cream milk - agreed). Topped with fruit and jelly (I feel that the cake will be tastier with a thicker layer of jelly).

In order to hold the pillars for the tier-ing, the bottom part has to be cake with dense and stronger texture.
I've made 2 butter cakes, into 4 layers sandwiched with custard - to form a 3 inches base.
Topped with fruits and decorated with the fishes. The fishes are a bit melted because I wanted to have the fishes swimming in water (jelly) but it cannot be done.

The 2-tier cake.

Cake decoration goes jelly

A preview of my one of the decorative item for my upcoming cake project.

Kahlua Chocolate Cheesecake

The last time I made this cake, I used rum and chocolate glazing. That was because I didn't have any Kahlua and I didn't have any Creme Fraiche supply.

This trip to Hong Kong, I got my Kahlua from the duty free. It only cost about RM70 and it's delicious, I can drink it on it's own. This time I got Creme Fraiche for the topping and more Kahlua was mixed into the topping. The cake was decorated with strawberries (the Korean strawberries are delicious by the way).

The result was a dense, rich and indulging cake with a tinge of coffee flavour.
