Timing the Feelings

It's great to still be receiving birthday presents so long after my birthday. And this particular set of present was being referred to by him as the "creme de la creme" set. To me, this is the most "luxury" birthday present I've received so far.

If I had received this present from him say five years ago, I would be at cloud 9. Okay, I'm still extremely delighted when I received the present last night, you should see my expression - grinning from ear to ear. But what I meant is the very special feelings I would have experienced if he were to give me this present five years ago. As a matter of fact, I would be floating even to get a phone call from him five years ago. It used to make my heart rate soar by just calling him.

I used to think that I was extremely crazy for him. I would do anything in order for him to reciprocate my feelings. Once upon a time, I thought I would change myself to fit into his criteria; I would swallow my pride and annoyance just to show him how patience and genuine I was towards making that relationship work. Even though I knew that his character really wouldn't please me and the chemical reaction was just going to be very adverse.

Perhaps he later had better, more special feelings for me, but I don't feel the same anymore now. Oh, how sure I was then that my feelings would never change.

What went wrong?

Realization? That tolerating will not work?

Timing? The right feelings but wrong time?

I consider myself lucky. Because he's still a good friend. Because I am still free and very much entitled to be crazy over MFG.

Feeling is really a strange thing.. one day you can have no feelings towards a person but the next day you might found you like him/her. What has triggered it? Vice versa... from liking someone to no feeling at all.

Perhaps by spending more time with that person will change the feeling. Liking/Loving someone is different with being with that person. If the personalities donot match, one will feel very tiring being with that person. And as time passes, one will realise that the person is not meant to be anyone more than friend. Hence, one think that the feeling has changed.

I think, the feeling might still be the same. We probably still "like" that person, but having no more expectation in getting more than a friend.

Because that feeling, that moment has passed...

So, we really should seize the moment when we are crazy about someone. Otherwise time passed, feelings passed.

Then again, if we make decisions in a rush, we might not know how we feel long term.

Does it mean feelings are tend to change?

Is there any security when it comes to relationship?

Yes. There is security in a relatioship, it just works two-way.

How do you know if you are actually 'in love' versus just 'infatuated'?
If the feeling changes, then maybe it's not love but just like?

In any case, enjoy your new self-pampering kit ;)
I also want....

If you truly love someone, does it mean that you will continue to have special feelings even though there's not much response from that person?

The self-pampering kit is great!!!

i think, there are many type of love..
If you truly love someone, you will still that person even there is not much response fm him. Sometime, feeling need time to grow..

If by the time that person developed that feeling, and you have lost yours, then that means your heart have asked you to give up the "expectation". Then, timing does play an important role.

In other case, If the feeling became mutual, I have the faith that it will last. Love, is the foundation for companionship.. But being together or even marriage one day, is more a commitment more than just LOVE. :)

LOVE start from "liking" that person... No?

If you truly love someone, even though there's not much response from that person, but we still feel happy, as long as the person we love is delighting.

It can't be denied that it somehow brings us the disappointment in working out a relationship with limited responses given. But then again, we are also sometime putting up too much of expectation in getting a return or appreciation from that person.

A friend of mine once told me that she doesn't mind the person she loves to find his love in life, as long as he is happy in that way.

I really salute her in this case, as she understands the exact meaning of true love.

Loving someone is not about possession, but to see your love one happy, this is what we called “True Love”.

I know the concept of if he's happy, I will be happy for him. But no matter how happy I am for him to find his true love, if I had liked (loved) him so much, I think I will be so hurt even though I know I should be happy for him.

Once again, I think I'm more inclined to give up when there's no response concept.

(okay okay, I hear myself telling me that I should be patient, and give feelings TIME to grow. Humphhh...)
